1 onion
1 clove garlic
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 carrot
2 celery stalks
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon pepper
150 ml tomato puree
300 g San Marzano tomatoes, peeled
300 g beef
1. Attach the food processor attachment with the dicing kit to the food processor.
2. Peel the onions and cut them in half. Peel the garlic cloves. Turn the speed control to 10. Transfer the onions and garlic to the food processor and pulse until diced.
3. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a saucepan. Add the onion and garlic. Sauté the onion until translucent, stirring occasionally.
4. Peel the carrots. Using the food processor attachment, dice the carrots and celery stalks at speed 10.
5. Add the vegetables to the onion and cook until tender.
6. Stir and cook for 1 minute; then add the tomato puree and peeled tomatoes.
7. Season with salt and pepper and mix everything together. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
8. Attach the chopper attachment to the food processor. Turn the speed control to 4. Season the beef with salt and pepper and place it in the chopper to mince.
9. Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a separate bowl. Add the beef and cook over medium-high heat until the meat is cooked through and golden brown.
10. Add the beef to the tomato mixture and cook for another 2 minutes.
11. Serve with pasta and grated cheese.
